Project CARS – First Xbox One Gameplay Footage

Project CARS is having a major presence at the EGX in London, Great Britain’s largest gaming expo, allowing visitors to sample the WMD-powered title on three different platforms.

While the PC and Playstation 4 versions have been playable at various events before, the EGX marks the public debut of Project CARS’ Xbox One version.

Below is a first snippet of gameplay footage of the Xbox One version, showing a full grid of GT3 cars in action at Silverstone, running on Microsoft’s newest console.

The video shows a lap around the Circuit de Catalunya with all graphics settings maxed out, showing pure gameplay footage without any post processing.

Project CARS Press Event at Brands Hatch – Video

Slightly Mad Studios recently invited the press to Brands Hatch, giving the media the chance both to sample the upcoming WMD-title and prove their real-life driving skills in race cars around the British venue.

For everyone who wasn’t fortunate enough to be invited, a new video has been released, showing us a glimpse at what happened during the day.

The video also includes interviews with real life race car driver Oli Webb who explains how he helped shape the title to be as realistic as possible.

Also, the video features Project CARS Creative Director Andy Tudor who reveals some details on the title’s all-new “Driver Network” feature.

Project CARS – Release Date Announced

The official release date for Slightly Mad Studios’ Project CARS title has been announced!

Powered by the company’s unique World of Mass Development portal that was launched in October 2011, Project CARS will hit the shelves starting November 18 in the United States and November 21 in Europe.

The title will be available for the PC, Sony Playstation 4 and Microsoft Xbox One, coming both as standard edition as well as being available as Limited Edition with additional goodies & content.

Project CARS – New Dev Interviews & Q&A

Slightly Mad Studios recently gave selected media members a look at Project CARS at Britain’s iconic Brands Hatch circuit as race car driver Oli Webb introduced the press to the upcoming WMD-powered title.

Afterwards, several media outlets got to talk to one of the masterminds behind the upcoming title, Slightly Mad Studio’s Creative Director Andy Tudor.

GamerMuscle Tries Project CARS With Oculus Rift

VirtualR regular GamerMuscle has released another one of his famous videos, trying out the Oculus Rift DK2 with Project CARS and he seems to get a little excited about this combination, to say the least.

Slightly Mad Studios already offered guests at the GamesCom the chance to sample Project CARS with the upcoming virtual reality headset and many of the journalists were swept away by the experience. Now, more and more regular folks get to enjoy the WMD-powered title with the Oculus Rift’s newest version, getting a glimpse into what will be the future of racing games.

Project CARS – New Oculus Rift DK2 Footage

Betta Lines has released some footage of the Oculus Rift DK2 in action with Project CARS.

The second-development kit version of the much-anticipated virtual reality headset & Project CARS already made quite an impression at the Gamescom last week, the WMD-powered title natively supports the new technology that has the potential to make triple-screens in sim racing obsolete.

- through the marginally greasy left lens of a DK2
- using a sim that is still in development

Project CARS – Gamescom Footage + Interview

Project CARS has made a lasting impression on this year’s Gamescom expo as Slightly Mad Studios’ WMD-powered title turned out to be one of the most discussed titles at this year’s edition of the event.

Until tomorrow, gamers in Cologne can check out Project CARS both running on the Playstation 4 as well as on the PC, using the Oculus Rift headset.

For those who can’t make it to Germany to try the game themselves, you can find some footage from the Playstation 4 show floor demo below, courtesy of InsideSimRacing.tv.

Several key staff members from Slightly Mad Studios were on site in Cologne, including Creative Director Andy Tudor who was kind enough to answer some questions for the the guys from NVDR.tv.
