SandroX has released new previews of the Corvette C6.R ZR1 for Assetto Corsa.
Originally created by UnitedRacingDesigns for rFactor 2, Corvette’s GTE class challenger will now make its way into Kunos Simulazioni’s newest title and it is looking pretty splendid in its new environment as you can see below!
The C6.R ZR1 was Corvette Racing’s weapon of choice for GTE class competition in the American Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans until it was made obsolete by the new C7 for the 2014 season.
As announced a few days ago, the Targa Florio will be coming to Assetto Corsa.
The track started its life as GPL addon created by Ginetto, was improved for rFactor by the Targa Florio Conversion Team and will now make its way into Kunos’ new platform thanks to SandroX.
Below’s a new gameplay preview video, showing a complete lap around the track in the Ferrari 458 Italia, driven and recorded by 6e66o.
The epic track is intended to be a quality release and as such, no early alphas or unfinished versions will be released.
Located on the Italian Island of Sicily, the 72 kilometer track is one of the most epic motorsport race tracks ever used. As safety concerns became an influence in international motorsports, the Targa Florio sports car race lost its world championship status and is still run as an Italian rallye today.
During the past few months, the_meco has shown off his very impressive Shelby Cobra 427 model several times.
Now that Kunos Simulazioni has released the car modding tool for Assetto Corsa, the car has been successfully put into the game as the_meco has shared some early work in progress shots of the American car in Assetto Corsa.
Despite being the_meco’s first ever modding project, this car is shaping up to be among the most promising mod projects for Assetto Corsa.
Youtuber James Gambino has been testing the development kit of the much-anticipated Oculus Rift together with Assetto Corsa.
In the video below, James does not just show us screen grab footage of Assetto Corsa and Oculust rift but also provides some point-of-view footage from inside the headset to give people an idea what the Oculus VR experience feels like.
Kunos Simulazioni has released an extensive video showing off what the modding community is eagerly waiting for – The official modding tools for Assetto Corsa.
In the video below, Kunos’ Simone Trevisiol takes us through the many features the editor offers for, in this case, track editing.
Official modding support is one of the most unique aspects about Assetto Corsa and interest in the title’s modding features seems to be huge, looking at how many projects have already been kicked off even before the official tools have been released.
Even though Kunos Simulazoni have yet to release the official Assetto Corsa modding tools, more and more custom content for the Early Access beta is becoming available.
Below is the newest as the famous Japanese Grand Prix venue Suzuka is now available for Kunos Simulazioni’s title. Released by thestrobe8, you can check out a video of the venue in AC below before giving it a try yourself.
Located in Japan’s Mie prefecture, the 5.8 kilometer track is one of the very few to have a figure 8 layout. The track offers 17 challenging turns, including the famous high-speed 130R corner.
Originally, Kunos Simulazioni planned on releasing the multiplayer feature for their Assetto Corsa title on Friday.
Unfortunately, implementation work has caused an unexpected crashing issue in single player races, causing a delay in the multiplayer release as explained by Kunos below:
Dear AC followers, we are encountering an unknown and unpredictable issue that causes random crashes with single-player race events, probably due to some additional implementations that single-player thread shares with the multiplayer build. We are working to identify the cause and to solve it, but we can’t commit the new build within today. We apologise for this inconvenient, we’ll keep you informed as soon as our development team will be able to make the new build available, hopefully within tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and your kind support.
In the meantime, you can enjoy a new multiplayer video trailer, made by Digiprost.
